About the workshop

Learn to express yourself with watercolors and brushes. Spark your creativity by combining the beautiful art of drawing letters with the ethereal quality of watercolors to create amazing pieces of art. Watercolor is a delicate and beautifully forgiving medium used for many aspects of art. Join me in this workshop as we discover how we can maximize the features of watercolors for calligraphy to create many different textures for our lettering pieces. The skills learned in this workshop can also be used for other water-based mediums such as Tombow markers and Crayola markers!

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS CLASS

Experience level: This is a beginner friendly class with no experience in calligraphy or lettering required.

Curriculum:

• Introduction to tools and supplies for watercolor lettering

• Understanding watercolors as a medium and how we can use it in different ways

• Basic brush stokes and drills to get you comfortable with using a brush

• Lowercase letters and styles for calligraphy

• Connecting letters and words

• Learn how to blend watercolor seamlessly together
